For almost a year I worked on an upmarket monthly magazine for Taranaki residents. My role was to collect content for editorials and adverts and lay everything out. Designing for magazines involves speed, creativity, ingenuity, flexibility and the patience of a saint. Every month I worked with many people from a wide range of professions to create an attractive public platform for local business which succeeded to consistently stimulate a devout reader fan base. Each advert and article was designed to have its own character whilst reinforcing and sustaining the LIVE magazine brand.
Creating LIVE used a variety of techniques but it was pulled together seamlessly using Adobe InDesign.
